Running out wild
I’m not a huge fan of attaching storylines to my work, since i’m of the opinion that the work needs to be able to speak for itself while also allowing space for interpretation of the audience. But in this rare case i feel a need to explain myself a little bit.
As a very young child i remember very vivid realisations about the concept of time. I understood as early as 4 years old that everything happened at once in the multiverse. Many opposing timelines could co exit and i instinctively knew that fate was more that of a rubrics kube of constantly changing shapes than a fixed timeline.
As i grew older and moved into the wonderlands of meditation my childlike understanding of the concept grew larger and I saw a correlation between surrendering into the spaciousness of the present moment and the ability to the see the so called future.
Since everything that ever has happened and will happen is happening now - the surrender of the logical mind to the present moment opens a gateway into a superhuman power. The ability to see fate unfold in a multitude of opposing patterns.
Over the years as a student of music I felt limited by only working within the field of music and I felt a deep desire to add another artform to express myself and my spirituality more fully. The silent power of the image became an obsession for me and when i merged my songwriting, which is often form of clairvoyant look into the future, with the images, i felt more complete as an artist.
When I compose I’m often given images that shape the lyrics and the choice of orchestration, and when I add these images to the visual presentation of the song a coherent whole emerges. The song feels more complete and more whole as a result.
This Song “Running out Wild” is my first complete attempt at merging my three loves with each other. That being Music, Photography and Spirituality.
Hopefully it will resonate with you in the most powerfull of ways.
Sincerely
Søren Stenager
